Arcane Failure Podcast

Greetings, and welcome to the Arcane Failure Podcast!

This is our first production for you listeners. It is an introduction to the podcast and what we are going to be talking about.

Just to be specific: We’re more than happy to read your emails, just don’t bother sending us emails about your being righteously offended by something we say. We’ve warned you that we can be offensive, and we’re not going to pull any punches in the stuff that we talk about. This introduction, and the first few episodes, we will probably start a bit slowly on. Just to get our new listeners acclimated.

We realize there are a few audio quality issues in this episode and the first one that will be put out later, but we’ll have to deal with it for now. If you have any recommendations to remove the crackling, feel free to let us know.

All of us use Skype to get in to the podcast. I (Chris) am the only one that is recorded at the source, so sadly the rest of the audio can get a bit muffled at times. Hopefully we’ll find a way around that soon.

Anyways, on with our introductions. We will be back by Wednesday with your first full length episode!

We have completed recording Episodes 0 and 1, along with all that we should need to put together a promo for our podcast to begin with. At some point, I think we’re going to do something a little more professional than a mishmash of outtakes, but for now, that’s what it will be!

When the podcast drops, feel free to leave any comments you might have. Either here, or on our forums, where we will announce each podcast as it drops.

Promotion for AFP will be provided on Fear the Boot forums, Bearswarm forums, Dragons Landing forums, ENWolrd forums, and any other podcasting site that we can get our hands on that will take our advertisement!

Arcane Failure is coming soon to a commute near you! …or, well, anywhere else that you may choose to listen to it, for that matter.

Arcane failure is a new podcast that was inspired by both the Dragons Landing and Fear the Boot podcasts. The hosts have listened to several other RPG podcasts, but those two would be the primary inspiration.

Our goal is to provide quality content that is tailored to a much more controversial crowd. The other ‘casts that are floating around the ‘net tend to cut themselves off when getting in to topics such as Religion, Gender, Ethnicities, et al. The Arcane Failure Podcast is going to be aimed squarely at those controversies. We are going to cover them in a way that will hopefully be considered tactful. We make no apologies for ’soft’ feelings though. If you fear that you may be offended at topics that cover a broad range of topics that many people ‘fear to tread on,’ then this podcast is not for you.

BUT! If you are tired of ‘Well, we shouldn’t go there…’ in other ‘casts, stay tuned! Our introduction episode is coming soon! Feel free to come on over to our forums, suggest some topics and chitchat with us. We don’t bite. Much.
